Hello, EYC!
This is Past Princess Jennifer Wallace (Gauntt, since I got married).
Just wanted to send a quick note to say hi and give all my friends at EYC and update. My Nana told me you guys
finally put up a website, and I'm happy to hear it!
Im up here in beautiful Mystic, CT, and we're having a pretty mild winter, just like y'all. My husband, Tim, just
left for a long deployment, but I'm keeping my spirits up! Im still in school and working hard, too. These days its just me
and the cats, living like a couple of bachelorettes! We just found out that we'll be moving around Christmas time to Newport
News, VA, where Tim's submarine will be having some maintenance done. After that, who knows?! I'm just glad we dont
have a bunch of kids to drag up and down the east coast. Im excited about our upcoming move, but there is no place like home!
Sometimes I think about trying to click my heels three times. You think it would work? All I want is some steamed crabs
and a cold pitcher of beer; sitting out on the deck at EYC watching the sun go down.
Speaking of crabs, I have to tell you, noone up here has a damn clue. I've seen 'Maryland style crabcakes'
on the menu at atleast two seafood places, and Im not sure why they even bother! What a joke! They should stick to lobsta'
and chowda'. HA!
I hope that this email gets printed and posted some where, as most of my old timers dont have email access, and
I really wanted to say hello. I miss my family at EYC, and dont y'all worry; I'll be back to run for Commodore in a few short
years!
I love you guys, and I'll try to send some pictures soon.
All my love and best wishes,
P.P. Jennifer Wallace-Gauntt
